The comedy king isn’t laughing today. In a significant blow to veteran actor Rajpal Yadav, the Delhi High Court has refused to grant immediate relief in his ongoing cheque bounce saga. On February 12, 2026, Justice Swarana Kanta Sharma deferred the actor’s bail hearing, meaning Yadav will spend at least four more nights in Tihar Jail.

he atmosphere in the Delhi High Court was heavy as the bench reprimanded the actor for a “consistent pattern of non-compliance.” Despite his counsel pleading for leniency so the actor could attend a family wedding (his niece’s) later this month, the court remained firm.
